Tarso Mazzotti holds a PhD in Education from the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. He is a retired full professor responsible for the Chair in Philosophy of Education at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Presently, he is Professor at the Graduate Program in Education of the Universidade Estácio de Sá, and has a position as Associate Researcher at the Foundation Carlos Chagas, in Rio de Janeiro.
Tarso Mazzotti is also coordinator of the Research Group on Pedagogical Rhetoric and Argumentation of the Faculty of Sciences and Letters of the Universidade de São Paulo, funded by the Brazilian Council for Scientific Research.
Claudia R. de Castro
Claudia R. de Castro holds a Bachelor in Psychology from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She also holds a Master and a PhD in Social Psychology, obtained at the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Presently, she is Professor at the Faculdade Paraíso and researcher at the Universidade Lusitana, in which she directs the Research Laboratory on Technology and Management.
Her research experience in Social Psychology has focused on the study of social representations socials and the analysis of rhetorical discourse in contexts of public policies aimed to childhood and adolescence. Recently, she developed researches in education with the goal of preparing a social-economic diagnostic of the City of São Gonçalo, Grande Rio de Janeiro, able to inform policies for local development.
